Let's look at it this way, just another great way of spreading the new Minneapolis Sound across the world. Minneapolis will be able to keep atracting top notch musicians and talent because of the great music coming from the Twin Cities. Living in Pensacola after growing up in Minnesota it is great to see Minnesota music spread across the world. Keep Minneapolis on the Music map and keep rockin!!!! Peace

The music scene in this town is dead. Thank the local bar owners for that. They have multiple bands each night that play for nothing and most of these bands are horrible. The bar owners make out because the followings of these bands will come in and spend there money and the bands still make nothing. It's the classic carrot on a stick technique and it's ruining this town. My advice is to boycot any venue with multiple bands playing. Because it's a guarantee that none of these bands are making a cent but you're still paying $4.50 for a beer to listen to garage bands all night.

Look in the City Pages and you'll find out for yourself. I've posted in other places about this issue and the posts get flagged as fast as they're posted. That there tells you something. There are some downtown and the lure for young musicians is the good production. People that truly love music are getting short changed as much as the people playing for free. I've played a lot of years in this town. I know what I'm talking about. As far as the guy that said I'm dumb, that's fine. Like I said...I know what's happening in this town. By the way what 2 bands do you manage? And what's your take for the night. I'll bet anything they play 45 minutes to 1 hour sets per show for $100.00 at best if they're lucky.
