When looking back on the Gardenhire era this is what should stand out above all the playoff failures. Don't think for a second Gardy hasn't had a huge influence on player and personnel decisions--especially in the middle infield. I'd call this exhibit A in favor of his firing. Nevermind the fact that he is totally burned out and cannot relate to young players at all. This alone should have sent him out the door a couple of years ago.

gardy is nothing but a glorified 3rd base coach. he'd never land a managers job except for the Twins who saw him as a cheap hire. As long as Pohlad owns the team they will never contend. basement dwellers. Fans got screwed!
