Hartman: Wilfs say Frazier will be around awhile

The fact that the Wilf family, owners of the Vikings, didn't offer coach Leslie Frazier a contract extension this offseason doesn't mean that they don't have complete confidence in Frazier as a coach. They expect him to coach the Vikings for a long time.

I hope Sanford opens up his pockets. The indoor football practice structure has a leaking roof and chunks of the ceiling fall down if the punters kick the balls in the right spots.

What a joke. No playoffs this year and Frazier will be out of job before you know it.

Sid, everyone knows Frazier had little to do with the vikings winning 10 games last season before getting trounced in the first round of the playoffs. The ONLY reason the vikings were able to squeek into the Wild Card round of the playoffs was due to their "soft" schedule that was loaded with the NFL's worst teams - Jax, Tenn, AZ, Det (twice)and St. Louis. The viking's 2013 schedule with be nuch tougher and with Frazier at the helm and Ponder as the starting QB the vikings will be headed back to the NFC North basement and a new head coach willl be in place before the new ZygiDome hosts it's first pre-season game.

"He is basically our coach" means you are not long for the job. Seven other teams turned this guy down as a head. What's wrong with that picture? Not head coach material and has proved it. How many times is this organization going to get burned with a second rate coach? Nice guys aren't necessarily good coaches and Leslie is one of them. Good grief wake up.

Frazier is the best coach we have had since Bud Grant. He is a players coach that has the respect of the team, fans, ownership & coaching staff. We WILL win our 1st championship with MR. Frazier. Also.....Please MR Wilf, put a retractable roof on that stadium!! GO VIKES!!

Rent a big moving van and clean house. Time to get rid of Gardy, Tubby, Frazier and 'ol Jer.

guth54 - You are right on the money. These coaches all came here because they are under no pressure to win. They can make all the unexplainable pitching calls, 12 men on the field mistakes, employ nepotism ridden staffs and celebrate pathetic drafting the would like, and the clueless and classless Minnesotans just keep on blindingly rooting for hopelessness. The saddest part is they don't even know they are being taken advantage of and being manipulated...That always kills me to see when hapless Midwesterners get made the fool. Pitiful and so so sad. Go Yankees!

There shouldn't even be any discussion or doubt about a retractable roof. Get it done>

Sid The Tool is Minnesota's professional sports jinx from day one. He's the one constant in the last 50 years of heartbreak and disappointment. He's like a bad penny. Time to hang it up Sidney!
