Well, when you have a president that adds over six trillion dollars to our deficit in less than four years, you have to make adjustments. Do you realize that under Obama, our government takes in about 3 billion per day, yet spends about 11 billion per day? What exactly did anyone expect would happen? Obama has not presented a budget in five years, and he is on record as stating "we don't have a spending problem." Very dangerous thinking, and just flat out naive.

Salaries need not be a fixed cost. People can be laid off or put on furlough one day a week. I think the National Parks Service is just trying to cause the most pain for the public so the public complains to Congress about the cuts.

If the employees get furloughed and receive unemployment, that is a joke. If they do get unemployment then I expect them to "volunteer" to do their jobs until reinstated.

Do you realize that under Obama, our government takes in about 3 billion per day, yet spends about 11 billion per day? - Do you realize if Bush hadn't lowered taxes while going into TWO WARS we wouldn't even be in this mess?

More inflicting pain on Americans so he can blame Congress. Obama is a horrible leader.

Do you realize that whenever a liberal doesn't or can't answer a question they always resort to blaming Bush? Let's stay on point.

notforward and circleoflife. I don't just go back to blaming Bush. This whole mess started with Reagan and his trickle down economics. HE was the one that started it, and every republican since has followed his example and run a deficit. Look how long it took FDR to get us out of the great depression. If it hadn't of been for WW2 it would have taken us even longer. So 5 years is nothing to set and run economic policy especially when republicans say no at every turn. Republicans won't even confirm one of their own as SecDef because of spite.
