Yes, the UN should craft a harshly worded memo to Mr. Assad asking him to stop. That oughta do it.

Heh. We'll never learn. Meddling in Syria will have pretty much the same consequences as our meddling in any other place in that particular part of the world--a healthy chomp in the shorts. What we need to do is arm BOTH sides, and then just get the hell out of the way.
