I am sorry but this talk of showrooming is such bunk. It's called comparison pricing and people have been doing it forever- they just went store to store or compared the prices in weekly ads. If you have the ability to attract people to come into your store, you do whatever it takes to make the sale. Matching prices is a no brainer. Shoppers are there to buy, not showroom!! Quit blaming your lack of sales on the big boys getting into your shorts- you've done the same thing to the likes of Sears and other major retailers that used to be our place to buy electronics. It's called competition and you need to learn how to compete, not whine.

With a 15 day return policy, I will not be shopping at Best Buy. Makes it impossible to do gifts.

The reality is that the impact of price matching policies is next to nothing. Why a retailer would make a customer jump through hoops to get the price someone else offers is beyond me and thats why no one actually does it. Not worth the hassle. I would rather just buy it from the other place than be forced to work for it so I can give you my business.

In addition, all local retailers need to commit to customer service above and beyond what they can get from an on line retailer. It is their greatest asset and here-to-fore, too many of them didn't capitalize on it. Customers need to demand it................

"CAN"T GO THAT LOW" BEST BUY Manager Quote, on a price from AMAZON, "not a third party sell" "Yea, we price match but, we can't go "that low!"...."What is the meaning of price match?...Matching another price from a competitor, UNLESS, the price is just too low?..($19.99 to $4.05)...I was at a local Best Buy 5/1/13 when I found a pair of Kenwood KFC-C6894PS Speakers, to replace my factory speakers.I also needed some adapters for my factory connectors to keep from cutting any wires (Best Buy priced speakers at, $59.99;adapters at $14.99/ Amazon priced speakers at, $39.97)...(PRICE MATCHED.....BUT...*READ MORE*)I needed a Wiring Harness #70-1771 FORD, LINCOLN MERCURY Harness to connect my stereo. "BEST BUY priced at $19.99; AMAZON priced at $4.05"......Manager said,"We can't go that low, yea, we price match but, we can't sell it for that price!" So I have to pay full price if I want it.....???????
