Despite billions in aid, borrowers still face foreclosure

The nation’s big banks have granted $45.8 billion in relief, but most was on second mortgages.

So 13 percent of the borrowers have received help with their original mortgages? And hardly any help to keep people in their homes? Basically the banks have not helped much at all. The second mortge has been given some help but the people are underwater with their very large mortgages are killing them financially. I thought the whole push was to help all holders of their first mortgages? Some help from this new law and from these giant banks. Thanks for nothing.
