The excitement over the team's rare road victory in regulation was tempered by a possibly severe injury to Cal Clutterbuck, who was hit late by Taylor Hall.

Taylor Hall better be suspended for that hit. And I hope the next time we see the Oilers, someone cleans his clock, legally.

Russo- have to give you props for a great recap. My 12 year old knows hockey better than most "experts". Nobody gets the little things better than you. The Seto turnover had both of us screaming at the TV. That was not on Gilbert. It was a boneheaded forward causing a bad turnover. Love watching Brodin. That kid is something special. The Edmonton speedsters could not get past him.

Hall is going to face the music. He also took out Brodin down in the AHL. Tough to survive the NHL when the big boys go hunting after you. Hall will be wearing a target on his head.

Cullen should be the Captain: leadership by example. Great game/hussle Matt.

Tweet from Barry Melrose......... "That was a cheap shot on Clutterbuck.I can't believe Hall got off the ice with no one from Minny going after him and making him pay a price." .... I agree with Mr Melroe 1000000%

the refs were quick about cutting off minny players to retaliate on hall. have to believe kenopka gets a one game call up when the oil return to the X

Embarrassing that no one stood up for Clutterbuck after that hit. Why is this team so soft? Hall clearly went for a dirty hit and the entire Wild bench is okay with it? Someone stand up and clean an Oiler's clock.

Good to see Cully rewarded for his efforts. They guy is still a great skater and always hustles. He's had a lot of chances that haven't gone in but it was good to see a few tonight. As for Hall, what the hell is he thinking? Why does he want to play like that? He's a scorer, and a good one at that. Why try to be a guy who runs people? Does he think it makes him look tough? Stick to scoring bro, that's what you're good at. Hope Clutter is okay. Great win, keep it going and bury the Flames.

Way to go Cully!

The refs jumped in pretty quick to protect Hall as soon as a Wild player made a move towards him so there wasn't much time to exact immediate revenge. I would rather the Wild take the 2 points tonight and give Hall a beating the next time the teams meet on March 3rd. Never a big fan of players fighting over top of an injured player while the medical staff is trying to attend to him.
