Thanks Mark Dayton. Double whammy on us in Brainerd Area today.
Wildbill, you should be thanking technology for losing those jobs. Dispatch and paper mill.
"Roseville will take calls north of the Twin Cities". Really? Somehow Roseville and north of the Twin Cities just strikes me as funny...
Car 43 where are Youuuuuuuuuuuu?
hopefully it means less troopers on 2
Interesting that everyone wants "cuts" in government; just not affecting them. This has been studied for years, hopefully will work and allow DPS to put troopers on the road, where they can help. Very shallow reporting; no detail; no explantion of how dispatch can work over large area? Trib should do better.
There's an awful lot of Minnesota North of Roseville- like most of the state! I cannot believe, with computer technology today it matters one doggone bit if everyone is in the same couple of buildings. I live South of Ely. Dispatch was still located in Duluth a few years ago end when I described the location of the incident with mile markers, hwy. # and a local watering hole -dispatch was absolutely clueless. This sounds more like a pork relocation/ consolidation than a true money saver. There will be lawsuits due to metro employees being totally unfamiliar with the majority of the state's landmarks and geography. Foolishness I say! About relocating? Sure if my family was in Brainard
