It's good to see that some of the Republican establishment are finally starting to "get it". The GOP needs more courageous members like this to break away from the Right Wing extremists of the party and move towards the middle.
Last week, a reporter made a joke about Hagel belonging to "The Friends of Hamas" to a GOP White House aide. This aide promptly contacted right wing media outlets with this phony story (FYI: there is no such organization) and it spread like wildfire throughout the right wing blogosphere over night! FOX had a feeding frenzy with this entirely made-up story. No one even bothered to google "Friends of Hamas". The Obama-hating wingers will manufacture any kind of lie in their zeal and it's disgusting.
It's always been interesting to see just how quick most Republicans have been to blocking anything the President wants to do even if it means going against one of their own. Perhaps this is the start of at least some of them waking up and moving forward but I'm not going to hold my breath thinking that is the case since the GOP is so set in their ways.

Hagel is on tape making anti isreal and anti jewish comments. You don't see it in the liberal controlled media.
