Any chance we will see a controlled implosion just like we saw with the RCA Dome in Indianapolis? Ironically, January 2014 will also mark the 15-year anniversary of the Vikings implosion against the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship game

Wait a minute on folks. The legislature is going to put this whole mess on 'hold' until stable funding is developed. The new Vikings stadium may never be built. Call your elected officials and tell them stop/postpone the demolition of the dome.

How do I buy a chair?

Great!!!! They must have finally gotten all the funds they needed from electronic bingo. This whole episode is going to be remembered in Minnesota history as a huge, comic tragedy.

Before a single shovelful of dirt gets moved, I think that it is ONLY "Wise" that the current economic conditions be considered. We all know that the State of Minnesota agreed to pay for part of Zigy Wilf's new Vikings stadium. However, several recent articles have illustrated that the economy is NOT doing as well as the media makes it out to be. For example, there will probably be a lot of store closings in 2013: Best Buy, JC Penney, Radio Shack, etc. There's more to the story, but not enough room to list it all here. The simple fact that Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton wants to "Radically" change the State's taxation system is a sign of how the economy has changed, and is NOT producing enough for adequate tax revenues to be collected. Governor Dayton says that Minnesota's tax revenues are NOT stable in this economy, and changes are needed to stablize the State's tax revenues. Until the economy improves, I think that the new Vikings stadium should be put "On Hold". What's wrong with the Metrodome? Nothing, as far as I can see.

Sorry guth54, not happening. Good bye dome, 10 years to late but at least it's done. Cant wait for the new stadium and am actually looking forward to outdoor football for two seasons at the Bank!!!!

After two years of watching Viking football as God intended (outside!) it's going to be awfully hard to go back inside a covered stadium.......:(...

But they just replaced the roof. I forgot. It was free so who cares.

I wish it were the Vikings last season! Then we could get a new team with a cool sounding name, like the Minnesota Riverines for the NFL. The first step in getting the Lakers name back where it belongs and then the coup de grace, getting the North Stars name back. People who support cool sounding Minnesota sports team names unite! You have nothing to lose but your really really lame current team names!

Vikings will play two seasons — 2014 and 2015 — at TCF Bank Stadium...so how much are they gonna pay the State of Minnesota for renting that facility?
