Good story. Two quality guys. Glad it has worked out well for them and the teams.

@NShockey130: Well said, I am glad things have worked out well for Schultz. I have very fond memories of Mister Schultz with DR and JL, I never once thought of booing those guys as they always worked hard and played gritty just like the Red Wings played when they came to town on Sunday... It is sad that the Wild changed ownership and went 100% the other way..... You really realize how good we had it now.... Go ahead a press the down arrow about 50 times now. I like Brodin and Zucker has some upside with his speed. Leddy was a good pick regardless of who he is playing for

Very impressed with Gilbert. He is a good mix of the things you would like from a Brent Burns/Nick Schultz combo defenseman.

This trade has worked out well for both teams, but I remember that it sunk the Wild last year. I checked and they lost 7 of 8 (one in a shootout) after they traded Schultz. It was hard at the time, but you could see he benefits that Gilbert brought immediately.

Nick is a classy guy and played well through some trying years for the Wild. Glad it worked out but I was mad at the time of the trade.

I liked the North Stars. That was cool name. Wild=really really dumb name. Lakers was cool too, T-Wolves=wack.

So glad we have Gilbert over Schultz, makes so much more sense for our team, Schultz didn't do much on the ice AT ALL. Good guy off the ice and in the locker room though
