Southern Baptists urge Boy Scouts National Council members to keep ban on gay Scouts, leaders

The Scouts, because of the nature of the activities camping, dressing, bathroom accommodation and needed privacy has chosen not to facilitate and have to worry about sexual attractions being an issue in the planning and carrying out of the activities. Their Scouts decision is one based on what is practical, safe and avoids compromising situations driven by "raging hormones". Just as there are many Scouting restrictions around fire activities and open water events , the the Scouts don't want "messing around with sex" to be one more concern. I understand the reasoning, This is one reason young males are not allowed in the Girl Scouts. Safety and liability are the main concerns for the children in Scouts.. not political correctness. ..peace
