I hope they adopt Office Depot's customer service because Office Max is terrible at it.

I think that there are simply TOO MANY office supply stores. They are all rather "Expensive" too, if you ask me. I only shop for office supplies at: Staples, Office Max, or Office Depot, if I can't find what I'm "Looking For" at: Target, Walmart, etc. Better prices for Kid's school supplies as well.

I'm not a market analyst, but I've said it for years, too, right in front of the employees at empty stores - too many stores in the market. But, I usually find what I need at a cheaper place, or online, since these stores tend to be extremely overpriced.

These stores put the local stores out of business (remember SPB&S? Gone!) with their "lower" prices. Now they're the gougers? What's going to happen when these gougers are gone? Staples and Amazon.

The progression towards bankruptcy continues. I'm 31 and I have never purchased anything at either store. Growing up I'd go to Best Buy or CompUSA and today I shop Amazon.

Thank God! I was always getting the two mixed-up!

I hope they combine their names in this merger. I propose either Office Office or Depot Max!

I liked OfficeMax before it got bought out by Boise Cascade. They put a Staples in the old Har Mar movie theatre near my house and the place is always empty. The only stuff I buy at these stores is on-sale items. During some sales events they can be very competitive, even with online stores. Maybe they need to do what Target is doing and start matching online retail prices.
