Wolves want to build, not keep rebuilding

With the postseason unlikely, the Wolves' aim is building in order to stop rebuilding -- and shoring up their fans' faith.

You can do it, Wolves!!! Well, not really. But if you were healthy, you'd have a chance. Kind of like Jim Carrey in dumb and dumber. If you guys could only shoot consistently....sigh. C'mon Lexi. Light 'er up! C'mon Pek. Crash and smash! Trade Roy's contract! Do something, anything. Don't just stand pat. Sigh. Can't wait 'til next year!

As one who has enjoyed very inexpensive lower-level tickets for 3 seasons now, I thought long and hard before renewing this year when the price of my seats nearly doubled. I took the leap of faith. Why? Well, 3 reasons really. First, I believe in our core players and in our coach. Second, I grew up rooting for the NY Mets in the 1960s, so I know a thing or two about loyalty to teams that are struggling. Win or lose, these are still my Timberwolves and I want everything for them. If our core of quality players can keep playing together -- get healthy, stay healthy -- and develop positive chemistry and synergy, plus a quality wing and some decent role players (some of which we already have) and we are on our way. And finally, I really want to be a season ticket holder during a playoff run. I remember the heady days of the 2003-2004 season. It's time for us to have one like that again, hopefully one that's even better this time. Go Wolves!

Boy I read a lot I didn't like. First, don't you dare trade a draft pick for a shooting guard or anything else. You don't need some other teams aging shooting guard! Then there was the emphasis over and over in past years to draft/trade for a point guard. How many point guards can one team have? And Williams? The game he loves to play? No, the game to him is a paycheck and he couldn't care less which team pays him; just so he gets paid. Watch him get traded for a third or fourth rounder. I could go on, but the Clippers were the team known for futility in the NBA for years. They have been replaced by the timberwolves. So, what is the solution? Look at what the Clippers did to turn it around, and LEARN!

Finally, there are two NBAs... and the commissioner chokes on the word "parity." It's time to level the playing field like the NFL did or franchises are going to be begging for fans to come to the games; kind of like what this article was all about. Of all the sports in Minnesota, I honestly think the timberwolves would be last on the list to spend my money to see.

Two years running Love has missed a major portion of a season. He better start staying healthy.

Kahn is a bad GM for the simple fact that he has made more bad moves than good. Potential trade offer; Pekovic, D.Williams, AK 47, 1st round pick for Bogut, Harrison Barnes, Richard Jefferson. Why the tpups should offer it. If you are going to keep KLove you need a big man next to him who rebounds and block shots (Pek is awesome but he is not a rim protector. We need a legit wing with size and thats exactly what Barnes is. He flourished in college with a pass first PG (Kendall Marshall) and would do the same in Adelmans offense. Richard is a thrown in to match salaries with AK47 but is an ok vet. Why the warrios might consider it. They have lost 6 straight since bogut returned. He doesn't fit their style of play. Pek is a better fit for Mark Jackson offense. D Williams gives them some more athleticism and AK47 gives them a jack of all trades...

Until the Twolves get a player who can consistently score from the perimeter and create his own shot when the play breaks down, they will always be a middle of the pack team at best. Love is good at what he does, but will never be a reliable,go-to scorer at crunch time. He's a reliable 'wingman' not a Top Gun, and doesn't have the physical tools to compete with other teams best players on defense.

Jerry, at 6'6' I think Shved is not a "small" guard. And the wolves might consider another shooting coach. And Maybe someone "reporter" might ask Adelman why Johnson is sitting on his butt on the bench chewing his fingernails most of the time. Just because you lose one guy (Love) shouldn ot mean the team should fall apart, if one guy makes or breaks a team season then it the upper managements fault.

If Williams gets traded for anything less than the number 2 overall pick, Kahn should be fired.

Trade Love, he's worth more in trade that his value to the team.
