Wow....They are getting desperate for money to fund the "people's stadium". What will they dream up next when no one plays this game. How about a electric pin the tail on the donkey.....

E-pulltabs to fund a billion dollar football stadium, used 10 times per year, will most certainly go down in history as the most outrageous scam ever played on the taxpayers and property owners of Minnesota. When the investigation concludes, there will be civil and criminal charges brought against those who financially benefited from the decision to build it.

People who particpate in gambling to help fund the stadium are, of course, volunteering to pay a tax. This tax money goes to make Wilf richer. So if you are math challenged and don't realize your gambling return on investment is -40%, or think you can get something for nothing, or don't mind that your money is making a millionaire richer, or love to pay taxes, by all means go for the gambling.

This is an absolute joke. I really hope the vikings fans open their wallets to these machines like they opened my wallet to a billionaire. This stadium is a ripoff to the people of Minneapolis and the rest of Minnesota. Here are the facts. 1. The team COULD NOT be moved to Los Angeles. Why? Because that city could ONLY take an expansion team. They COULD NOT take and existing team. 2. Both Green Bay and Chicago would have to agree to the Vikings moving. Would they do that? Absolutely not. The team rivalry triangle makes them lots and lots of money. They never would have agreed to it. Not a chance. This whole need for a stadium was done through planned out media campaign to manufacture the consent of the people of Minnesota to build a stadium on our backs from taxes we don't want to pay for a stadium we neither want or need. This whole thing is a sham and the vikings fans that pushed it, the politicians that pushed it and the media that that helped manufacture consent have ripped off the people of Minnesota.

Wasn't the argument for gambling backing the stadium that it doesn't cost any tax dollars? Yet, the reality is that it does - there's no reason why the state couldn't have started these games and had the proceeds go to the general fund (and reduce all of our burden). But instead the funds are routed to enrich a billionaire. And now, it appears pretty clear that the games aren't going to bring in the revenue, so we'll end up paying from tax dollars anyway. What a great deal, all for a team that draws about the same number of people downtown as the wild or wolves...

Oh how I wish there was oversight in this deal, with a provision that if funding did not meet expectations that Wilf or the people who approved this would be financially responsible for the balance of the entire cost. I bet there would have been a little more discussion.
