Secretary of State John Kerry should make it abundantly clear to the Chinese that such actions will have an American response that may affect our trade with China. The Chinese manipulate their currency and now they are steal our secrets. Time for a tough line on China.

So we trained their engineers and scientists in out Universities, we sent our manufacturing jobs, machines, blue prints and processes to their country and now the US Government is getting grumpy because the Chinese are suddenly stealing our secrets and technology? This has been going on for over 30-years...so why did it take so long for the US Government to wake up?

how are you possibly going to fine or hold sanctions against them when American companies are migrating there daily... Not to mention we owe them a billion dollars... Money trumps all.. Fed's won't do anything against them.

I agree. Immediate tariff on all imported goods from China or goods made in China. 20% sounds good. Better yet lets create some jobs here by making our own stuff again before we forget how to do it.

Really? Are we going to war with China? We depend on China for all of our manufactured goods including our military arsenal/weapons. We have outsourced our manufacturing base to China. They have US over a barrel. And China is our most favored trading partner in the world. This does not surprise me with our free and open borders and extremely liberal immigration policy. We probably have tens of thousands of Chinese spies in our country today. We our govt. has sold US out to China! This is the same as Pearl Harbor. A good response would be a stiff tariffs on Chinese imports, and no favored trading status for trade with China, and start bringing US jobs back from China. This is serious folks and could lead to a hot shooting war, or even a nuclear exchange. I think we would probably lose a conventional war with China today because they outnumber US like 4 to 1, and they have a stronger manufacturing base than we have today. We are in big trouble America thanks to our leaders in Washington.
