Good Luck getting that by busy body Meg (stop the bonfires, brew pubs and other fun) Tuthill. I like the idea but... Good luck!

Amazing that Minneapolis is loosening the reigns...... as the neighbor to the east has delegated all its authority to MIMBY neighborhood groups run amok...

The Bookhouse in Dinkytown already rolls out racks of unwanted discount books in all but the wettest weather. As for groceries on Harmon, perhaps its the new Lund's store kitty-corner that's dampening walk-in traffic.

It sounds nice to me. There are so many small shops that would benefit from the neighborly feel this would bring.

Really? Most of the hardware stores in SW Minneapolis already display half their store on the sidewalk. A used bookstore has stacks of books sitting out in front of the store. And a consignment store has racks of clothing blowing in the wind. Are you telling me this is against the law?
