Not a good day for Gophers athletics.

Not a bad day for Badger athletics. Best day since the Big Ten football championship game rout of Nebraska.

When are they going to do away with this stupid outdoor thing. It makes for bad viewing on TV, and by the way things look, the fans are so far away from the action. Gophs are still by far a better team. I bet those KARE11 chowder heads are liking the outcome. Boycott KARE11.

Gophers have a very good team, with a lot of talent. However, they have not put together strong back-to-back efforts all year. Unfortunately, you need consistency in the playoffs, and their lack of consistency will be their undoing.

Looks like St. Cloud and Mankato are welcoming the Gophers as the 3rd best team in the state now. Regardless of the WCHA Standings, I firmly believe the WCHA teams are extremely strong this year! I'm hoping for all WCHA Frozen Four.......

Why would the Gophers agree to play a conference game on a small rink with bad ice against a team with much less skill. Played right into Bucky's hand. This will cost them the league championship. Bad decision.

I really hope the Gophers do not push for this same set up at TCF Stadium. The game looked so much slower on TV, and frankly seemed a little boring. Disappointing.

I recall thinking just before the Cheese got their first score that even with all of the zone time the Gophs had that they had nothing to show for it and I thought that might not bode well for them as the ice got worse as the game went on. Sometimes in games like this whoever gets the first score can have a distinct advantage and thats how it turned out. A great event though, just unfortunate that it had to be held at this critical juncture of the sched....

Great exposure for both programs. That is, if anybody outside of Minnesota and Wisconsin was watching it. North Dakota, maybe; it's pretty quiet there on Sunday afternoons.
