Saints promotion: Not quite a bobblehead

Sunday's giveaway is a miniature bathroom stall with a couple of lower legs and feet - a spoof on the airport episode involving Idaho Sen. Larry Craig at the Twin Cities airport last summer.

That's just wrong. Yes, Craig was wrong, but using it for "fun" publicity is just not right. How would like to explain that to your kids? I am very disappointed with the Saints.

I agree with jmayer on this one. I like a good joke as much as anyone but this goes beyond tasteful. This seems like something a slapstick FM morning radio show would do, not what a baseball team would do.

Those who don't like it, get a grip. Bad taste or not bad taste; you can't please everyone all the time. Have fun with life. If you don't like it, then don't take one. I for one will be sure to take mine.

Get over yourself, Nesaajr. Sounds like you were looking for a reason to not attend Saints games anyway. Between this and your boycott of Starbucks it sounds like your summer is totally shot!

This is the best promotion I have ever seen. Once again proving what a fun atmosphere the Saints have. I wish I was going to be around, these tickets should go like hot cakes. As far as explaining this to your kids, just tell them it is a funny statue. I had an outhouse piggy bank as a lad myself...wonder where that ended up.

Not quite as good as the Alexandria Beetles Fastest Fat Man Competition but still pretty solid.
