I am glad he made the free throws - but he should not be in the starting line-up.

Coleman has been a force, and a clutch player. He's the best man for you at the line. Like all aggressive players, he has his lapses, but he gets it done at 2 and 3 position... Smiths swarming offense does end up with turnovers, and I think it gets Coleman moreso because of his attack-first mentality, but maybe the relaxed play will help cut that down... MN has several very good players, and the teams seems to struggle to mesh them at times, and at times it's tough to pick five...

There are some basics MN has to overcome, and players like Coleman can't carry the team over them... MN won't win many games with 6 or 7 assists a game like they had in their losses (they averaged 17 in their wins); and MN is small and suffers for it. (The top ten teams all have at least two 6-9 players with high minutes, and most have one or more 6-11 or taller with high minutes - MN has none; and 8 of the top ten teams have their 6-9 and up players shooting threes - THREES - MN has none; hey, its 2013 basketball, not 2003. See what happened to Kentucky when they lost Noel. Adapt, or be irrelevant... Wonder why MN got NO votes in the coaches poll at all in spite of losing to great teams? With the tallest regular MN player at 6-8 where most teams have one 6-10 and up and couple 6-9s, you ask why all those coaches didn't give MN even one vote? Adapt, or be irrelevant. That's competition.)

I agree. I am very glad he made a couple of free throws. His big ten free throw percentage is year is just awful. He is a very weak link in the Gopher line up. But with bench they have you else should take is place. I do not know if it is Tubby;s offense or Joe but he just does not move on offense nor does he move the ball quickly when he receives it. At least his turnovers are finally down.

With regard to the lack of "big men," on the Gopher team, it would seem to me the alumni could go out and grow them a couple seven footers. Minnesota does not have a lot of superstar former players; however, they must have enough contacts to recruit biggies.

Time to celebrate when a DI player makes 2 ft's in a row after throwing bricks most of the year. Joe is another one of Tubbys players that have shown no improvement and is a God awful shooter. Time to recruit pure jump shooters instead of dunkers.
