Plenty of industry and global leaders are actively working into their 80s and 90s. Does age really matter?

A few issues issues at play. 1 -Pope Benedict: should be applauded for recognizing his inability to serve. 2 - Age: Performance can only be managed on a case by case basis. 3 - Change: Organizations need to ensure leadership is in place to manage the realities of change. 4 - Succession Planning: All organizations, public and private, must have a succession plan in place to ensure the viability of the organization.
