Hey - using an elephant as a symbol of the modern GOP and their values and tactics is demeaning to elephants.

I'm going to have to search the archives to see if there is a similar cartoon with a donkey relative to Clarence Thomas or Robert Bork.

We have a whole bunch of chicken hawk politiicans, who have made this a vendetta against OBama. Hagel is not the most eloquent candidate, he is not slick like Kerry, he doesn't bow down to the path of least resistance, hates political lobbists from foreign and domestic, EARNED his way to this job and I might even be so bold to point out he actually knows something about the job instead of just being in the right place at the right time politically paid back politician. Take a look at the list who voted against him; ALL politically motivated, and almost all cowards and would I say this to Lindsay Graham? Damn right.

The only thing missing from the cartoon is a swiftboat.

I find it humorous that Hagel was on McCann's short-list for VP in 2008. He wasn't considered a problem to be second in command then, but now, he is a problem for McCann?? McCann needs to retire from office. There are other war heroes to choose from in Arizona. It only shows how angry he is for losing the presidency.

Good cartoon! Sack can change the name to be smeared by the GOP anytime the President puts anyone, even a GOP'er up for staff or cabinet positions! It is rather ironic that Hagel was liked well enough by the GOP that he was considered for VP!
