All Democrats - Representative Jackson headed for prison. His wife pleads guilty to corruption charges. Two Illinois Governors serving jail time. The Mayor of New Orleans, more than likely headed for prison. The former Mayor of San Diego hit with charges more than likely headed for prison. Then let us not forget the former Mayor of Detroit in federal prison with more pending. Perhaps the question to ponder is, will these issues be brought forth by the likes of Bill Maher, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, CNBC, MSNBC or CNN with the fervor had these been Republicans?
Guilty of spending other peoples money.... Thats a shock!
Good! Regardless of party, crooks should face severe consequences and there should be NO exceptions. It's well past time to drain the swamp and both parties should be put on notice that even if you are the party in the majority, you won't be able to shield your members from prosecution. Probably won't happen but if it doesn't then this country is going down. There are already too many people with little or no faith in the political system anymore and their numbers are growing.
Did you expect that with his father that he'd learn somedifferent behavior? With a wife like his that he'd be more honest? Don't think so. The voters get what they deserve.
So Junior"s (and let's call it what it was) stealing spree was caused by a desire to amass and flash expensive "status" objects instead of power? To Owatonnabill they seem to be pretty much the same thing. Or could this be a media attempt to somehow tie this to (and by implication somehow see as symptomatic of) Junior's "mental illness" in order to attach the blame, and therefore the responsibility for the crime(s) to the symptoms rather than to Junior? Nah.......
The four stages of Politicians excuses when caught: 1. I did not do it. 2. You can not prove it. 3. It wasn't illegal. 4. I have a disease that caused it. Jesse has jumped right to # 4.
Sadly, he would probably get reflected if he ran. Just like the other 40 corrupt members of the Congressional Black Caucus. Just google any of them and the word scandal if you want interesting reading.
When there was a citizen incident in Boston with a professor and plicie officer, President Obama not only spoke to the issue in a news conference but took it upon himself to have the gents to the White House for a brew. When two teenagers were acting like two testostorone induced Florida teenagers bumped heads with one being killed, President Obama spoke to the issue and even personalized it a bit. With Mr. and Ms. Jackson both being guilty, especially with Mr. Jackson hding at the Mayo for several weeks, it would be nice to see the President speak to the issue of political crime in Chicago and in Illiniois. This is especially true with two governors serving prison time. Someone enlighten me as to what I may be missing?
