The greatest college hockey power in the United States won again, beating its lowly neighbor to the East and I loved every minute of it. We can't beat the cheesefaces enough. It is so great to win and win big. I call for a sweep, spank 'em twice. Especially outdoors in front of thoundsands of people. Sure hope there is a huge following from Minny at this game. WooHoo go go Gophers.MINNESOTA, MINNESOTA, heeeeey Gophers.

Great win by the Gophs as Wilcox played another outstanding game. Special teams and Wilcox was the difference. Couldn't figure out when the Badgers pulled their goalie the Gophers went into a complete shell and almost allowed the Badgers back in it except for Wilcox's play. Had they played more aggressive it would have been a 4-1 win instead of a 3-2 nail biter.

Good job, Gophers, wish I could be at that outdoor game. Let's get one at Target Field vs the Sioux or Badgers, either would sell some tickets.

The boys came out flying. Wilcox played fantastic again as usual. A couple of misplays by Helgeson and Boyd but other than that, a pretty sound game all around. Time for a sweep to pull within one point of the WCHA lead. If we lose, then the Badgers are within one point of us. MUST WIN on Sunday.

I went into the game expecting Wisconsin to muck it up and play for a 1-1 tie. I was surprised they played very chippy. The Gophers should have gotten another half dozen power plays that the officials didn't call? Happy with win, but held my breath every time a Gopher took an illegal hit after the whistle.

Great to see the Gophers playing better on Fri nights. Also, this was a good test to play against WI TRAP style game. The Gophers will see more of this in the NCAA's. I was down on Alt's game earlier, but he looked good last night. I am still not sold on playing D at forward. I would rather see a good 2 way forward like Michaelson on the 4th line. Still the key this season has been freshman Wilcox step up as one of the best tenders in the country.

Is there a chance that the Goph's could take a day off and give the Wild a hockey clinic? Go Goph's!!

Fun! this is what college hockey is all about. Minnesota obviously has the talent edge over Badgers, but the coaching style of Eaves reflects that and they are competitive. Meanwhile, the powerful Gophers still manage to pull it out...even with some nail biting. This is why College hockey is the best. U of M Hockey is like the Duke of Hockey! Love it!
