A milder version of drones is taking flight

The FAA is set to issue rules for operating civilian drones in U.S. airspace by 2015.

Why do our local civillian law enforcement agencies feel the need to dress, act and equip themselves like they are in the military?

Of course, the FAA is only concerned with how the drones interact with other airborne objects and whether or not it is going to cause a safety problem. They have no interest, jurisdiction, or expertise on what information is gathered and how it is used, and that is the real problem. Bill G.
