Consumers are coming back, but they worry about piling up debt

Customers are making more retail purchases, but they’re still paying down debt, not adding more.

Nice spin, consumers are pulling back not coming back and when they do purchase its with credit cards. The country is in a deep funk and headed for 2008 all over again.

Sales are up across the board and there's pent up demand across all major markets. People want to spend again and they're actually doing it with cash and debit cards.

marsbonfire, Thats why retail went up last month 0.1% basically flat. Thats great your brands are up but not a national trend.

Just look good at the numbers that theagonybho just pointed out. The retail went up 0.1 percent. Just about enough for a little change in ones pocket. He is right again and those numbers do not lie. I agree.

I look at numbers everyday and they tell us a much different picture than your desperate attempt to extrapolate one month into more negativity because you hate this administration.
