College basketball 'brutal to watch,' needs a major overhaul as scoring dips to historic lows

Interesting how this opinion contrasts with the one so often expressed during tournament season: "Let the kids play, don't call the penny-ante fouls".

At the same time, realize that coaches are adjusting their playing styles to match the talent they have at hand. Where does the lack of fundamentals show itself the most--on offense. Therefore the coaches have gone to a banging defense and "grind it out" offenses, because that's what is going to work. No matter what anyone says, the bottom line is winning, no matter how it 'looks'.
