HKS quote. "Everyone hates our preliminary drawing (published incessantly in the Strib). Let's build it!"

NFL is foolish enough to put next Super bowl in NY in winter. Good luck on that calculated risk! Most old-time Vike fans are dead or in Arizona in winter like me. Predict that tough weather games outside will not be well attended. And try to get fans to volunteer to clean snow from stadium for 2 years. Oh....another team already successfully does that?

Yes, I watched the Vikings at the "old Met" and at the Dome. Trust me, watching the games inside is a lot better. I just wonder if the State of MN had helped the Vikings build their new stadium in the nothern suburb, would the Vikings still have to play outside? I doubt it! Also, let me start counting, new Twins stadium, new Gophers football stadium, new Gophers baseball stadium, new Saints stadium, etc. Just think, if the state would have allowed the Vikings to build that stadium where the wanted (plus I dread the traffic downtown and scared to be just there), I bet we would not have to spend so much money. Goodness!!

Old school, outside football. Sounds great to me. Can't wait. Recently watched the NFL Network's top 10 home field advantages. The Met stadium was, I think, # 3. The players from other teams, saying how they would look at the schedule at the beggining of the pre-season, and already be worried about having to play at Minnesota in November, and December. GO VIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@timandtia "I bet we would not have to spend so much money. Goodness!!" No, if the Vikings would have got to build their Arden Hills stadium site, that cost was projected to be $1 billion. Look it up. This stadium is actually $25M less, but then again, its going to be a lot less development than Arden Hills would have been.

Christian Ponder in the cold for 2 years. That won't be fun to watch. here's how the huddle will go. " Ok, hurry up offense, so no huddling between plays. three hand offs and nobody get a first down okay? Back to the bench and heat!

Please do not build the artsy looking thing that has been shown in the Strib at various times. Football is a manly sport sand should not be played in a structure that belongs in France. I cringe every time I cross the Washington Ave bridge and see the crumpled aluminum can on the east bank that some nut thought was "avante grade." Build an exact copy of Lucas Oil Stadium or Ford Field. It would save money and preserve the dignity of the sport.
