They won't point it out here johnmc, but they will give you a thumbs down. They feel that as long as China will loan us money, we will be OK. Won't happen here!

Contrary to popular belief, this has nothing to do with Socialism. All of these so-called 'bailouts' only aid Greek Politicians who lavish themselves in an expensive and ritzy lifestyle. Greece should have followed the Icelandic model in REFUSING to get bailed out, thus, reverting to the Drachma.

This is liberalism in action. The VERY SAME policies of welfare for anyone who wants it and lavish entitlements embraced by Barack Obama and the Democratic Party here in the United States are the reason Greece and Spain are bankrupt. They spent spent spent beyond their means and responded with tax increases and since they don't have any more money to spend, they can't keep on spending. The PREDICTABLE result: national bankruptcy, massive unemployment, and high poverty. Greece has an unemployment rate of 27%. Spain has an unemployment rate of 26%. What do those two nations have in common? Massive deficit spending on welfare programs just like Barack Obama and the Democrats have done. And what do we have to show in the USA for all of Obama's MASSIVE deficitis ($5 trillion in deficit spending since he took office) and constant demands for tax increases? An actual unemployment rate of 11% (adding back all the dropouts who were unemployed but stopped looking for work). Don't worry, folks. What is happening in Spain and Greece WILL happen here. Under Obama's own budget projections SPENDING SOARS when Obamacare kicks in. 30 million getting FREE health insurance from Obama is just the beginning. The 11 million illegals will be added soon. Just watch. Oh, don't forget: Obama is giving FREE CELLPHONES to people on public assistance. Yup, they can't live without their 250 FREE minutes and 250 free text messages per month!

So here is the EU/Greece, who did all these austerity measures and still are going in the hole with unemployment, etc. And here is the US kicking the can down the road, with minimal spending cuts and somehow we're still rolling along - infact in some instances doing better than a few years back. So one needs to ask - is austerity the cure-all? or does it add to the problem? Makes you wonder...
