The Badgers embrace physical play and limited possessions because it suits them.

Wisconsin's slow-motion offense is intentional. The Gopher's slow-motion offense is unintentional. One wins, one doesn't. If the Gophers finished in the top four in the Big Ten every year, I'd have lifetime season tickets and I don't even live in the Twin Cities right now.

"Athletes" don't do you much good if they don't have basketball skills or understand how to fit into a team concept.

Wisconsin basketball is to college basketball what Wild Hockey is to the NHL...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

Don't blow your Badger horn too loud. When it comes to the tournament they're one and done.

Oh yeah, and most of the recent success has been accomplished with "non-athletes" from Minnesota! Tubby might want to start looking a little closer in his own backyard for talent.

I'm not thrilled with how UW plays basketball, but IMHO it is a stroke of genius on the part of Bo Ryan. His system negates the advantages all of the "big money" programs (Duke, NC, Kansas, etc.) enjoy annually, due to their overwhelming recruiting advantages. I'm sure those programs absolutely CAN'T STAND Ryan's teams, and I have to admit that I love watching it! If he ever was able to recruit a few super-talented kids who were willing to buy into his system, UW might very well win the NCAA title, and (trust me) it would probably start some type of basketball insurrection.

Badgers-really, really boring basketball, but they win. Gophers under Tubby-really boring basketball with turnovers galore and no 3 point defense, thus they lose. Tubby will be outcoached again tonight, and lose by 5-10 points. If the Badgers score that many total, that is.

Bo is accomplishing this with his least talented team he's had in the last 10 years. And, they play the Gophers, Northwestern and Penn State coming up. Sure, they aren't going to go long in the tournament, but not one player ever dogs it ever, and Bo figures out a way to win games.

Bo recruits players to fit in to his system. Tubby doesn't have a system.

In my opinion, a well-coached, disciplined team is always fun to watch. I don't care what style they play. Watching Tubby-ball is just downright painful!
