....did she pay for this free publicity to her upcoming race for Governor? She runs the house in an extremely partisan, snotty, disrespectful manner. She treats Republicans like nusances she's forced to tolerate. She rules against Republicans 100% of the time when DFL'ers want to shut down their amendments as "non-germaine" (when they clearly are germane to the bills). Tell the truth, this article is a puff piece designed to raise her name recognition for a future statewide race.

Ms Lopez should report the news and not make the news by showing how far to the left she leans. I think it is kind of "smart-alecky"

Having read all three volumes of Caro's work on LBJ and his legislative prowess, our Madam Speaker is a real talent. I have disagreements with some of the work that was done, but how it was done was flawless. I watched much of the session on TV. She is a major asset to our state as Speaker of the House, and she is young enough that she can have a major historic impact in that role. Being speaker is about a skill-set, not about issues, and she's great at it. We need her where she is.
