Good for him (and us). Our inner cities need more men willing to change the culture which has become one generation after the last mired in fatherless homes, poverty, unemployment, drugs, crime, violence and incarceration. Few escape but those that do can make a difference if they're willing to confront the real cultural issues and work for change. Thanks Gary.

This is wonderful! I substitute taught at Dayton's Bluff in the 1970s, canvassed in the neighborhood during Paul Wellstone's first campaign, and was recently at the school to observe a summer program. This is a school and neighborhood that needs a lot of support. I am touched and thrilled that Gary Trent has decided to be here for our children and our community. As someone who can relate to that "lost soul" feeling and as a forever Timberwolves fan, I commend Gary Trent for everything he is doing. Thank you!!

What a great story about a professional athlete giving back to our community. What a huge benefit, but it seems Mr. Trent is also getting a lot out of it. Great and positive story. Thanks Mr. Trent, you are an inspiration. America has rewarded most of us, and we all should look for ways to give back to those in need and make our society better.
