We hope that he adopts a different approach to explaining the need for action than he did in much of his first term.

Wow. The global alarmist columns are in high profile tonite. The only trouble is federal studies, federal data, and federal science claims are wrong time after time. CBO data for budgets, WMD data in Iraq, MN again just disproved the laughable hospital "100,000" death claims--yeah, MN had 6 deaths in 2011, not the predicted 1500. Even worse, we have the geniuses at NASA to tell us how bad things will be. The same NASA that couldnt solve an O-ring problem, nor a heat tile problem. The geniuses that put most temperature stations in urban areas and cities. Yep, that's "science." Yet, the WaPo says to eat the pablum......

The last thing we need are more hydro dams.

goferfanz: "Wow. The global alarmist columns are in high profile tonite." At least they're not turning their back on science and declaring the melting icecaps to be a hoax. Global warming is a much bigger threat to our children and grandchildren than our national debt will ever bee. Much bigger. Time to get out priorities straight. Is the survival of the species more important than a 3% increase in taxes? I already know your answer.

Man is not greater than nature! The earth is not a round sphere. It is wider at the equator than at the poles. The earth does not spin in space, it actually wobbles. The true [north] magnetic pole is shifting. Then, let's not forget the eleven year solar cycle which impacts...lots of things. By the way, it is estimated that the Grand Canyon, which so many enjoy, took about six million years to carve. Imagine had we humans decided a few million years ago, earth did not know what is was doing and attempted to prevent the Colorado river, etc. from forming the Grand Canyon?

""" Global warming is a much bigger threat """.... No, that would be global cooling. What we have now is a world with record levels of humanity living record levels of life expectancy. That is fact. That IS the science. Meanwhile, today the WSJ runs a story about all the abuse in the Obamaphone govt program, ie the simplest of verifications isnt even being done. But yes, let's believe the AGW hype from our science program that couldnt recognize an O ring problem, and that puts its temperature stations.... in cities. Yep, real genius at work. For educated people with science training = the recent good news--->those "prestigious federal scientists" that predicted in their studies that MN would have 800-1600 hospital error deaths per year........well, MN had had 20 deaths in 2010 and 2011, combined. You know, if they would put the temperature stations not just in cities, but in the saunas of the YMCA's in cities, wow, think of how fast they could show "the globe is warming." ;o)
