Vatican: Weariness, not specific health problems, causing Pope Benedict to step down

This guy was John Paul's right hand man and responsible for managing the abuse scandal.Both of these guys were well aware and instrumental in the cover up. To make matters worse there has been financial corruption and internal vatican struggles for power. These problems are not going away .

The Pope was definitely in trouble and apparently decided to get while the getting was good. First their is the issue of his enabling pedophiles in the hierarchy. Second, the Italian government is investigating the Vatican bank for money laundering. Third, much of the world does not appreciate this pope's conservative views of the world and he was under constant pressure. All in all, this pope was an inappropriate leader.
