Black Keys, far and away had the best performance and I'd never heard a song by them before. They're on my radar now. Serious blues rock!

Taylor Swift impressed me with her classiness, professionalism and catchy song. I wouldn't own her records but the songs are really melodic with catchy chorases. I also like that she cheered on all of the other performing artist. Classy talented individual that no one should write off. I believe she even writes her own songs.

I really was surprised to find myself enjoying Justin Timberlake's acting in a couple movies but, I still don't get him as a recording artist. Talented but goofy music IMO.

Jack White, like Mathew Sweet before him really went to school on classic 60s /early 70s blues rock. I don't own any records but I really love to watch him play amd what comes out of his amp!

I'm a huge fan of The Band & The Basement Tapes album and loved Levon Helm but, kind of surprised he was especially honored and Andy Williams was barely mentioned. I must be getting really old!

I like of the idea of honoring msuic teachers but how aobut honoring those artist who have influeneced the most people to pick up and instrument. For example Neil Young has inspired thousands of kids to pick up a guitar and play loud. There is a huge family tree of artist who have followed Neil's lead.

One person left out of the In Memorium was Eric Lowen of Lowen and Navarro. They have written hundreds of songs for other musicians (Like Pat Benetar's We Belong) over the years. Eric died last March of ALS.

I had never heard Frank Ocean sing, but thought he sang off key. Wasn't impressed.
