We see a stat like that all the time. I always wonder if there's any player who has a team with a bad record when they score a goal.

This won't come across right, and I only mean it in a rational way, but is this article supposed to spawn pity from fans for a guy, in his contract year, that has had huge absences from this franchise's quest for a playoff birth over the past couple years? Again, it will sound insensitive, and I understand the concussion thing, but I, for one, am surprised he's even healthy and in the line-up. Perhaps he should count his blessings.

caferev, I don't see anything in what he said that indicates he's not counting his blessings. I'd love to see PMB get his game back. He's a good player who I think could have been great. He's still got some years left though to write his story.

He will be fine, down the stretch, when we really need him.

PMB, no one ever got on top of the mountain without climbing uphill, and you have had to do a lot of climbing the past few seasons. I think you are close to getting to the peak again. The club drafted you a few years back because you had great hands, great skating and pretty good hockey smarts. And you still have those things right now. All you have to do is to see the game in your mind again just the way you played it before your injuries and it will return. You are really close to some good things. Keep plugging away.

I think one of the big problems is PMB being a speedy rush and put-on-brakes once you cross the blue line guy, trying to play in a chip pucks deep and wear down opposing D system that Yeo believes in....PMB is not a power forward. He'll have to shoot the puck to get out of the dog house. Can't rely on making set-up passes to guys like Rupp and Zonopka to get points.

PMB is a "never was" player.

Fun stuff: When PMB was drafted, he was rated the second-slowest player and the slowest shot ... at his position (which was center, BTW).
