Sloppy ball-handling continues to be a major factor in turning a once-promising season into a mighty struggle.

NORWOOD TEAGUE must immediately negotiate a Gophers basketball buyout package that will rid Minnesota of Tubby Smith and Pam Borton, because Tubby Time and the Pam Borton Era have proven disasterous. The men's program is a shambles, staggering to another NIT appearance. The women's program continues to implode as attendance averages less than 4,000 tickets sold per game. Smith and Borton have no credibility, and cannot be allowed to remain U of M employees in any capacity under any circumstances.

If Minn fires Tubby who would they get. No good coach would come here without a practice facility. Promises mean nothhing to the AD or Pres. Just ask Tubby. Recruits would go to a school with a facility. UND has a great one. Cost 6 million to build it. Tubby is not a good coach and his recruits are worse. But the adm. is worse. Teague is not better than Maturi and might even be a downgrade. He agreed to give his alma mater 800,000 to cancel a game. Go figure.

Sid - I'm not sure - Does Ryan Santoso punt, kick off,or do both? I doubt that he punts "through the uprights".

With all due respect, it's time for Sid to step aside. I listened to him on the radio w/ Mike Max on Sunday and Sid couldn't even understand the questions that were being asked, and when Max repeated them Sid would just ramble incoherently about how great the U of M is and how he has better relationships with everyone than any other journalist in town. It's painful to listen to or even read Sid's stuff because he's so out of touch. I'm sure he was great back in the day and is a legend, but he is only tarnishing any legacy he has by continually parroting anything the U of M administration releases in a press release. Nobody takes anything he says even remotely seriously as a result. Let it go man, just let it go.

Oh no...how much MORE money is Jerry Kill and Norwood Teague going to cost us taxpayers to make sure we do not play anymore tough Big Ten teams?

The Big Ten would be FAR better off going to a 10 game Conference Schedule. The Out of Conference games are not going to do much for the BIG TEN Network unless they are played against teams from the top of the other major conferences. And...when they have match-ups like Alabama-Michigan (2012) it will NOT do the Big Ten much good. Would Urban "renewal" Meyer want to go against "nicky saban" in the first or second game of the season? Play the GREAT O.O.C. match-ups at the end of the season in bowl games and/or in the N.C. Game. Perhaps the results won't be much better (Notre Dame vs. Alabama in the 2013 N.C.G.), but the hype/promise plays out better after the New Year than it does in late August or very early September. I am a Big Ten Football Fan and really only care about the Big Ten Football Games my Gophers play. A bowl game match-up with the Big Twelve, SEC or some other power conference school is FUN...but it is NOT as good as a Big Ten game at TCF BANK STADIUM or in some other Big Ten Stadium. I want 10 Big Ten Games EVERY year followed by a bowl game! Now THAT would be a football season. Basically o.o.c games can NEVER compare to Big Ten Conference Games... ; 0 )
