This officer's trouble started when he reported a fellow officer for kicking a handcuffed homeless man. He was then shunned by the rest of the department as a snitch and fired from the force. I'll bet he has solid information, not just about criminal activity in the police department, but rampant corruption in the justice system as well. Too bad he went off the deep end with this killing spree. They won't let him be taken alive now.

The media is giving this guy way too much credit. He's not Jason Bourne. He's an ex-street cop and a reservist with a generic marksmanship badge. I find it interesting how one guy with one firearm can spook the entire LAPD and federal agencies. You don't see them hiding in Gun Free Zones. As soon as the threat escalated, they brought out the heavy stuff - SWAT teams, urban assault vehicles, special protective details, the whole arsenal. Once again, the fallacy and hypocrisy of gun control is on display for all to see. One thing is for sure - nobody is planning on bringing this guy back alive. He knows too much.
