I'm thinking she's going to end up with a whole lot more than an apology and a truck.
Shooting up a vehicle by the police doesn't really sound like an accident. It sounds more like a lack of discipline. So, hey, it was an accident just doesn't cut it in this case.
This Dorner guy is clearly psychotic, but the incident with these women is emblematic of the problems he makes light of in his bizarre manifesto.
It was an obvious ambush. Wrong kind of truck, wrong color, 2 tiny Hispanic women instead of one big black man. They shot first without an immediate threat to anyone, but hey, 2 week paid vacation from the LAPD. I hope those cops go to jail.
Thus has to be one of the most incomplete stories I've read in a long time. So many details left out, I don't think it was even worth adding. No mention on how of when this happened. Saying they were shot doesn't quite describe the attempted massacre. Not sure what else you would call 7 officers opening fire on a truck that wasn't even the right make/model, color, and instead of one large man, had two Latin women inside, at 5am.
Ah, but they get a new truck and that's the whole story? As if they won the lottery, and this becomes a feel good story? I am not condoning murder, but I can't condon the shooting up of more than one vehicle driven by innocent individuals, by those who supposed to protect and serve!
The story of what happened to the women was already told in earlier articles. How many times can you rehash the same thing? This article is about the police replacing their vehicle.
