Best player on the ice for the Wild. Even if he wouldn't have scored the game winner. Hope there's more efforts like that to come. They need him.

No offense, Michael--love your stuff--but if that's a "doghouse" ("He's not playing bad. I just think he can do a couple things better.) then what do you call it when a player gets on the wrong side of one Ron Gardenhire? Now THAT is a doghouse. In fact, it might be more like an outhouse.

You watch the highlights package on NHL.com, and it's amazing what that line did last night. They looked so rejuvenated. Heatley was everywhere. In fact, he could've had a goal and two or three assists had the Wild not had some unlucky bounces. And then you see him on the bench, mentoring Granlund. Granny himself looked tougher, scrappier, and Seto was electric. Keep the lines as they are and let this thing play out for a whole. That second line can be dynamic with practice. While they may have been outplayed by both the first and third lines last night, the second line still showed a lot of promise. Keep them together.
