The Gophers fired plenty of shots but couldn't break Ryan Faragher and settled for a split.

3rd place in the WCHA. Don sure has this team flying as the year goes on. Standard.

They still have 3 series left, but if the SCSU Huskies play like they are very much capable of & don’t get lackadaisical (like the weekend in Alaska Anchorage), they have an excellent chance at winning their first MacNaughton Cup. Go Huskies & CONGRATULATIONS on your victory tonight!!!

I could not care less about being ranked #1. It's totally subjective and means nothing. It's good for the Gophers to lose now and again. It will remind them to avoid that feeling come playoff time. Also, nice win SC.

Once again, only reason St. Cloud gets any press is becasue they are playing a 3rd place team in the WCHA. Congrats guys on your win! How are you #1 in the country when you are #3 in your own division?

Any knowledgeable hockey fan knows the Gophers were the better team outshooting and out playing the Huskies in every category of the game except of course the one goal difference the final score of 4-3. The Huskies made several that should have cost the but the Gophers hit too many pipes and the goal tender was extremely hot. The Gophers will be there at the end again. Go Gophs!!!!

Agreed, MN was the superior team in all phases, all weekend. The puck simply did not bounce our way last night, and the Huskies capitalized nicely on a couple of big mistakes we made. Really love this Gophers squad--big, fast, deep, and excellent goaltending. They're a pleasure to watch each weekend they play.

Don Lucia HOPED to get 3. Why not a sweep Don. Afterall you are (WERE) ranked number one. No wonder this team underachieves. The coach could have sent the rest of the WCHA a message with a sweep, but Lucia HOPED to get 3 points. I guarantee EVERY WCHA coach in the position Lucia was in would have hoped for a sweep this weekend to send a message. I guess I now understand why the Gophers underachieve. They reflect their coach. Hey Don, minimizing fans expectations is not the right thing to do...just ask Doug Risebrough.
