I thought I read somewhere that the league didn't actually need the player's consent for re-alignment but decided not to do it when the union was against it as an act of good faith (not sure if right words) because of the upcoming cba negotiations. Is that true? If so, will the league be able to just push it through once the Phoenix situation is straightened out? ///// Very excited to be rivals with Detroit,Chicago, and St. Louis again fan wise, at some point in the near future. Hopefully not just conference rivals but competitive rivals. The potential rivalries with the (formerly North)Stars, Nashville(Suter), Winnipeg(great fans) and Columbus(expansion partners) could all be intense as well. Can't wait.
