official attendance 316. Does that include the players and there parents? Why isn't this a club sport? Why aren't all non-revenue sports club sports? Wouldn't Title IX allow us to provide the scholarship opportunities for women and still save the travel and expense of pretending to be "big time"? Couldn't we reward these scholarships to women based solely on academics and not on their ability to skate, row, or shoot a basketball? This should apply to non-revenue men sports too.

Yes, this team keeps on smiling!! At least MN has one team that is really "flying" along. I hope that the U's men's team keeps on going. The best I can describe this team is how proud I am of them. Keep on going!!

CPMN316: Not sure this is the right forum for your comment. The academics vs. athletics argument is tired and fruitless. Better to simply marvel at the level of play the Gophers' women have achieved. And the truth is, success -- in this case, dominance -- in the athletic arena is a fantastic way to set a level playing field across genders.
