the kids were warned about the consequences of their behavior. They must now suffer those consequences. I hope school officials don't give in.

I have worked in both and elementary & high school for 17 years. People just don't understand the mess the school has to go through, the rudeness of the event, and the safety. They were warned and chose not to heed the warning. I am glad the school followed through.

Everyone playing their roles well in a theater play here. No doubt Principal had no option after warning them. It sounds as if these students are a very independent lot. They should just plan their own private school-wide Prom and leave Nurse Rachet at school... Water cleans up fast. Broken bones from falls just a little longer in adolescents anyway.
