On a night when the Wild should have had plenty of motivation, it drew the ire of the home fans with a lackadaisical start and a loss to a hated rival.

Pro Hockey is so boring, I can't stand the goalies and their 700 lbs. of oversized equipment. Gary Bettman has ruined a game that was once thrilling to watch. Takes a miracle for the Mild to score these days.

I think we need some new leadership. I am all for the coaches and GM taking blame for poor product, but I think this team has just been garbage since they put Koivu in as permanent captain. They talk about getting some size in the forwards. Well, if you have skill, and heart, you can give up some size. Remember, this is a team that used Curt Ronning as one of it's leaders, and he was barely 5'7" and they went the farthest they have ever went with this tiny tot on the team. Leadership on the ice is just as important if not more than leadership behind the bench.

@mrbluesky...a dynasty? of what? losing? don't even go there....these young guys haven't proven anything yet...and by the way do you seriously think all 7 to 8 prospects will make in the NHL? really? it usually goes like this 1 out of 7...make it...1 out of 7...that means two...two...not eight..but two...that's why trades are so important

Man... Dallas should just give us the North Stars back and we'll give them the Wild. I ain't watch hockey or cared about hockey since the North Stars left. The Wild are just another Minnesota team that knows how to spend money to get fans in the seats but not on the right players. Stop catering to the fans and do what's right for the team!!!!

Sometimes the simplest and most obvious observation is the right one. I would say a coach that has the Brad Childress physical similarities will have the Brad Childress results. I know it's not scientific, but it seems to be aooplicable here.

The system is partly coaching and mostly the team chemistry. Ask Zach about what makes the Devils so special. We were not suppose to go to the Stanley Cup last year and we did. Yes, coaching plays a role but it's the guys on the ice that make things happen. Zach Parise has skills but what really made him shine was his teammates. Look at David Clarkson , Adam Henrique and our fourth line, Gionta, Carter ( YES A MINNESOTA BOY) and Bernier. They are not superstars but have performed well last year and is doing so this year. The Devils feed off of each other.

"The Devils have an amazing system and it cannot be duplicated. It's not the coach's fault for the Wilds failure" I am not sure I understand that statement. If the Devils have an amazing system, that is directly related to their coaching. So coaching is responsible for the Devils success yet in not coaching that is part of the Wild's failure?

I for one feel it only stands to reason as your putting together a new roster as the Wild have done that everyone should understand it takes times for the team to come together, sure big bucks were spent. But it seems people are too quick to panic. with the lock out this was not going to be the Wild's year anyway, I would say I do not understand why Zucker and rau are not in the picture we do need scoring.......
