New mom wants dibs on 'special song'

years ago I wrote and sang a song to my three daughters as a bedtime ritual. The other day my middle daughter told me that the "Sweetheart Song" is her children's favorite bedtime song. Now, it is one of my best memories. Dad

Of course this Mom wants to have something special between her and her child. She should just explain this to others. They should understand.

I see both sides of the spectrum to this. Is this a common song though? I think its a bit controlling but if its a common song, you cant stop everyone from singing twinkle twinkle little star??? And lalahem is so right, no matter who else sings it it wont be the same and itll still be special!
