Sounds like a version of our communist leader's organizing.

It's wonderful that this cabal of collective do-gooders wants to bring their message and mechanism for volunteerism to Minnesota public schools, but my honest question to Commissioner Casselius, the founder of this organization and their supporters, what niche or void are you hoping to fill? I look around and see wonderful acts of charity, volunteerism and entrepreneurial philanthropy already taking place in our communities here in Minnesota through wonderful organizations that already exist, like the Boys Scouts, Girld Scouts, YMCA, several local-faith based organization, and especially within our churches. I also see kids already taking it upon their own initiative with the help of teachers and parents to collect food, raise money and create positive change for people in need on their own initiative. So given the wonderful amount of positive outlets already in existence for our youth to contribute to the betterment of society and help the marginalized, why did the state education commissioner take it upon herself to pledge her support to implement this program into our schools? I am not an expert in Canadian culture. Maybe this Canadian-founded program was a big deal up there, but I just don't see the need for its collectivist mentality in this state. Feel free to answer my inquiry, Commish Casselius.
