So one might ponder this question: Why did these senators & representatives vote for the tax in the first place? If it is a bad idea now, it was a bad idea then. Wonder what else is in the mega page health care bill that supporters now want to remove...

Why are they showing Amy on this article? Why are they saying both parties are fighting for this? AMY and AL VOTED YES FOR THE TAX NOW SHE DOESN'T WANT IT? Try not voting for something if you think it's going to negatively burden the state.

Amy and Al voted for this thing. Shame on them for abandoning your MN constituents.

So, Amy and Al voted for this garbage and now want to be against it? Maybe they should have read the bill instead of just falling in line like good little lemmings.

Got a child that needs braces? Guess what? That is considered a medical device and you will now pay a tax on it even if it isn't shown as a tax on your dental bill! The tax will be passed on to you as part of the price! Love it! Vote the DFL in again and see what you get!

I guess this is what happens when you vote for a bill and you dont know what is in it. Shame on you.

This great "stuggle" to undue this tax is creating a bunch of noise signifying nothing. There is only one person who can undo this tax, and he sits quietly in the White House waiting for the face-saving demonstration of Franken and Klobuchar to subside.

Repeal a whole lot of taxes...repeal Oblamer Care!

This is just the start. You will see 1,000s of durable medical companies and independent pharmacies go out of business in the next 6-8 months. CMS (Medicare) just announced they are cutting reimbursement 40%-50% in oxygen, CPAP, wheelchairs, wound care products, etc. They cut diabetes supply reimbursement 72%-87% (test strips). Guess what Medtronic does? Diabetes supplies. Goodbye sales force and marketing jobs. Seniors should be ready to use 100% Chinese products with no manufacturer support and questionable quality. Something has gone terribly wrong.

Can the Strib or other local press really push our good senators to explain how we should be thanking them for fighting to undue the medical device tax today, given they voted for the bill that made it law knowing this issue was a problem for MN companies? Erik Paulson should get all the credit for fighting this- Franken and Klobo owe us apologies
