Michael, you MUST quit talking about Heatley as if he's been demoted and is some kind of pile. This was done to lend secondary scoring and to try and kick start the offense; it was done in the name of balance. Now, if you're going to rail on Heatley for having only one goal in his last six games, then what do you have to say about Mikko's season??? This was done more for a different look, to energize things, than it was any kind of "demotion." Really, if we want to see what's wrong with this offense, let's look at Granlund, Seto, Clutter, and above all else, Kyle Brodziak. If those guys had done ANYTHING this year, we might have three or four more wins.

Kyle Brodziak was projected to be a 25-30 point guy this year. Right now, he's on pace to tally a whopping FIVE points! Now, when guys like him and Seto step out from the steam pile, this team might go deep in the playoffs. But expecting Suter, Heatley, and Parise to carry the entire load won't get them anywhere.

I sincerely hope that this rush to the big time is not going to torpedo the futures of all these prospects ala James Sheppard.... Fletch... we've been patient, we are frustrated, but we can wait one more year if it means not ruining these kid's potential....

caferev, have you seen heatley!? Koivu works his *** off. ya gotta be kiddin'

This should be a great game for the Wild tonight. I thought they did respond in Phoenix. We have to get this "cant score" curse off of us! Come on boys, no reason we cant see 4 or 5 goals tonight!

Big game for us tonight, but what I know we all would really like to see is this team take it on the road and win a few away from the X. I'm getting tired of the excuses, the rinks are the same size everywhere I don't buy this "road legs" crap. The crowd at the X is great and gets them going but we can't bring it with us everywhere.

True dat....Kyle Brodziak has been a total let down this year. Guess some guys only play during a contract year. But honestly, Fletcher gave Backs a salary that was too high so not surprised he did the same with Brodziak. Brods was never a prolific scorer and we have guys in Houston that could come up and perform as well or maybe even better. He currently is nothing more than a line filler.

Wow, we currently would miss the playoffs if the season ended today. Tonight is a big night for the boys as they need to turn this around. Another loss and the panic will escalate...and I don't blame Leipold for anything he might do at this point. Spending this kind of cash yet getting outshot game after game, and having very little offense is not what he or the fans expected. Were we fed a bill of goods on how good our personnel is or is Yeo not getting the most of the talent we have on the roster.

"Parise said, "The urgency is now and the urgency should have been there for a little bit. These are big games. These really will dictate where we're going to go from here on out." that's what i like to hear from a leader.

caferev, Good points. If the 2nd and 3rd lines had contributed anything in the form of goals this team would not be looking so fragile. Cannot believe that Brodziak has nothing. Without these 2 and 3 lines stepping up now and contributing, this will be another lost season for the home team. Tonight might be a good time to bust loose.
